was previously enslaved by a Davis Family (possibly Ephraim Davis,
neighbor to the Burnetts);

John Burnett took them and
their children to Panola County, Mississippi around 1861, where he
built a farm on the present-day Panola-Tate County line;
-
Had a nephew named Wesley
Johnson, born c. 1852, who was also transported with them to
MS. According to Wesley's death certificate, his father's name
was Abe Johnson. It is uncertain if Wesley was a nephew to Jack
or Flora. Wesley & Evaline Johnson had several
children: James Johnson, Leanna Johnson, Fannie Johnson, Mattie
Johnson, Mack Johnson, and Maggie Johnson. The
Johnson family lived in Panola County, Mississippi after the Civil
War;

After the War, they
changed their last name back to Davis.
